About Us

Abram Guerra

Born in East L.A. and setting down roots with his wife, brother, and dog in Spanish Harlem, Abram has a lot of strong opinions and big ideas, and spends the work day trying to provide data that educators can use to make their schools better. When not at work, he spends his time studying, teaching, or advising friends and colleagues on some kind of ‘side-project’–and if lucky, there may also some carne asada involved.

Sam Rosaldo

Husband, father, educator…bureaucrat. In his role in the NYC Department of Education, Sam writes, facilitates, and advocates up, down and across the city government in order to support students returning to school from incarceration. He’s proud to call Harlem home since 2004, where he coaches his sons’ Little League teams, swims in the city and state parks, and stays active in his sons’ public school.

In their spare time, Abram and Sam are both members of the steering committee of the Alliance for School Integration and Desegregation.
